TCIS offers General Music instruction from PK-G6. General Music includes singing, recorder, melodion, Orff percussion, and others. This provides students a foundation in music theory and performance.
In MS (G 7- 8) students can choose to join either the string ensemble (violin, viola, cello, and bass) or the wind band (flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, tuba).
In HS, students can choose from a wide range of performing arts classes, including continuing studies in string orchestra or wind band. Other electives include Chorus for singing, Percussion Ensemble for drumming, Guitar Ensemble for acoustic guitar, Rock Band for contemporary rock instruments (singing, guitar, bass, drums, keyboard), and Audio Production for electronic music production. The music department also offers courses in Music Theory and AP Music theory. Drama is offered for those who wish to explore stage acting and theater arts
