Welcome to the TCIS High School Division! TCIS is a non-profit, non-sectarian organization dedicated to providing the very best U.S.-accredited education to our students. We are a superb educational choice for families and, as professional educators oriented to lifelong learning, we strive each day every year to continually renew and enhance our school. We invite you to learn more about us!
Currently, we enroll approximately two hundred seventy students in G9-G12. Each year, nearly 100% of our graduates enroll in post-secondary education. We are justly proud of our alumni who have gone on to very successful academic careers in prestigious and demanding universities in Thailand, Taiwan, the United States, Canada and Europe.
We offer a rigorous college-preparatory program delivered in English. Our content-area faculty is comprised of U.S. and Canadian citizens with full teaching certification. Academic programs at TCIS culminate with the College Board’s Advanced Placement (AP) coursework and examinations. Our goal is to ensure that every one of our college-bound students has at least one successful college-level experience, in the form of an AP course, by graduation. Currently, our performance toward this target is about three times higher than what is typical in an average AP school, according to the College Board. We aim to do even better by constantly updating and enhancing our curriculum, assessment and instructional practices. To read more information about AP click here (in English) and click here for the information in Chinese.
One of the most unique features of TCIS is our Mandarin program. Our students are not only immersed in and become proficient in the English language, they learn Mandarin Chinese as well. Students are required to study Chinese on a daily basis and we enroll a substantial number of native Mandarin speakers, which provides non-native students with a second immersion experience. Beyond academics, our students benefit from a full array of extra- and co-curricular activities, from basketball to chess club.
Thank you very much for taking time to consider TCIS. We look forward to working with you further.
