Welcome to TCIS
A heartfelt welcome to TCIS and its community. TCIS ia an international school that uses an American curriculum (taught by qualified western international teachers) where we emphasize language skills as a key to a good education that will prepare students for a globalized future in the highest caliber colleges and universities in the world. Our rigorous curriculum and inspiring staff help students become 21st century learners and college and future ready.
While building a better tomorrow today, we nurture children in an environment that is conducive to learning with very good facilities. The curriculum focuses on the importance of literacy in all areas whether that is a pure language or numeracy or technical language of computer coding. Our students annually excel and win awards in arts, academics and athletics. TCIS students have been awarded top honors in Thai language and culture, Chinese language acquisition and international speech competitions. Our graduates are admitted to top universities in North America, Europe and Asia.
The school board and school administration have worked closely in developing a strategic plan that will map out the next five years at TCIS.

Who are we?
TCIS is an international school with an enrollment of more than 660 students. We operate with a non-profit foundation board that has a record for supporting education. The faculty contains more than 40 highly qualified American and Canadian teachers, 14 Chinese Teachers and 8 Thai Teachers.
What are our physical facilities?
The TCIS campuses looks like a typical USA college campus quad. Around the quad we have separate buildings for our Elementary School, our Middle School and our High School. To complement the academic program, we also have a building that houses our canteen, indoor swimming pool, library, music and robotics programs and our full-size basketball court. For convenience there is a parking garage next to our security entrance. In 2014 the campus installed a security system to ensure that our campus was among the safest in the world. In the physical center of our campus, we have an AstroTurf-turf athletic field that is used day and night! In 2014 a canopy was added to shade our young children’s play area. To complement the academic program, our buildings house three gymnasiums, a state of the art theater/concert hall, multiple technology centers, and an extensive library (20,000+ titles) and resource center. All or our buildings and our classrooms are air-conditioned, with wireless access supporting our state-of-the-art technologies.
What is our academic program like?
TCIS is a PK-12 college-prep school. We follow an American curriculum for the core subjects of English, Math, Science and Social Studies and all elective courses. Again the highlight includes offering 11 Advanced Placement courses. Numerous options are also offered in music, the arts, athletics and technology. For Middle School and High School every student has their own laptop. Our Gr. 5 and 6 are 1:1 with Chromebooks while Gr. 7- Gr. 12 are 1:1 with MacBooks. The Elementary School incorporates iPads in its academic programs.
What are our credentials?
TCIS is accredited:
--- To meet U.S.. standards by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)
--- By ONESQA to meet Thailand’s Ministry of Education standards
--- By the Republic of China (Taiwan) Ministry of Education to meet Taiwan's standards
--- We have the most Google Certified Educators among Thailand's international schools
How does TCIS nurture the total student?
In addition to our quality academic program focused on trilingual education, TCIS recognizes that students are gifted in many areas and have individual interests that are necessary to nurture. Consequently, a full range of artistic, activity and athletic programs are offered all students attending TCIS. Instrumental band, orchestra, and art classes complement the academic instruction from Elementary School to High School. A full physical education program serves students from pre-kindergarten to grade 12. This program is complemented by 55 sport teams serving students from Elementary School to High School. Our sport teams are all affiliated with the Bangkok Independent Schools Athletic Association (BISAC). For our future presidents and leaders, a full range of leadership programs exist, from students' council to regular field trips that promote environmental awareness and global citizenship responsibility to respecting our wonderful country of Thailand. We also offer opportunities to travel and study in beautiful Taiwan where students can practice their traditional Chinese language skills developed at TCIS, which has the best Chinese program in Thailand.
TCIS fully nurtures strong minds, bodies and character!
