To control the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Thailand Government has announced that all schools to be closed until the end of April. Aiming to help students and teachers to keep up learning progress during campus closure, Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in Thailand (TECO) is proud to announce the 2nd free online Learning program of Thailand Taiwan AI College (TTAIC) - “Taiwan-Thailand Digital Enhancement Program Against COVID-19“, to help strengthen digital skills and computational thinking during this outbreak.
This program is organized by TECO and Taiwan’s Industrial Development Bureau (IDB), and executed by Taiwan’s Institute of Information Industry (III). The Course will start from April 24th to June 1st, every Monday and Wednesday, from 18:00-19:00 (Bangkok Time), including 12 Lessons to conduct STEAM education for Thai K12 teachers and students.
“STEAM education has been an uprising trend around the globe, which is no exception in Thailand. We have organized the course, hoping that we can introduce innovative teaching methods to Thailand and also share the experiences that we have gain in Taiwan fighting the virus. The course includes a series of lessons, including Making your own Automatic Sanitizer Spray, implementing IOT concepts to create smart homes…ETC., aiming to provide an alternative course for Thailand’s students and teachers.” Said Dr. Chen-Yuan Tung, Taiwan’s Representative to Thailand.
The Integrated and International Intelligent Learning Industry program by IDB has over 6 year experience promoting smart education, including online streaming courses and Online to Offline (O2O) hybrid learning environments, providing participants courses that combines online platform interactions, Q&A sessions, online exams with offline DIY workshops and physical practices in reality.
This hybrid learning method allows students to easily stimulate innovative thinking and problem solving skills. This program is also supported by local several educational institutes including Chinese Language Center (CLC), Thai Chinese International School, Banrakpasa Language School, Follow Me Chinese Language Center, Wells International School and Thai-Taiwan Business Association (TTBA).
