On November 16th-20th, two TCIS robotics teams (9692A and 9692B) of 8 TCIS high school students (G12 Willie, Jack, Osbert, Alex, Kento, Pont, Fachai, and Aric) participated in the 2017-2018 VEX Robotics Tournament at The American School in Japan (ASIJ). There were 34 teams that competed from 7 countries (Japan, South Korea, China, Taiwan, U.S., Hong Kong, and Thailand). Both TCIS teams finished within the top 8 teams and qualified for the semi-final competition.
“The few days spent in ASIJ were especially rich in opportunities to learn new ideas and techniques from other participants and to develop our own ideas to actually implement into our robot” said Kento, G11.
Students had the chance to work together and apply their knowledge of mechanics, engineering, and technological know how. Thank you to TCIS's support and parents’ encouragement. We are proud of our team.
