Ms. Yi-Ling, Chu
School Counselor (Fluent Chinese)
Ms. Yi-Ling grew up in Taiwan, Tainan, the oldest city on the island called Formosa and also commonly known as the "Capital City府城" for its over 200 years of history as the capital of Taiwan. Now she lives in Bangkok. She has a Bachelor’s degree in guidance and Counselling from the Department of Guidance and Counseling of National Changhua University of Education. She has secondary school teaching licence in Chinese literature, Guidance and counselling and Mandarin teaching abroad certificate. With years counseling experience in Taiwan, she has her M.A. in lifelong education master degree from the University of Nottingham education department in English. During her teaching as a Mandarin teacher overseas, she earned an IB certificate for enhancing teaching concept besides AP program. Her education and training are based on the student-center based school Counseling framework. “Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.”
Ms. Yi Ling believes in the power of inner power cultivation to enhance the lives and discover one’s individual strengths. She implements ESLS into students learning and always encourages students to treasure and value their life with integrity, empathy and gratitude.
