High School Grade 12 - You Made It!

Congratulation on making it to your senior year!  You should be very proud of your achievements thus far!  As you work your way through your senior year, there are many exciting events and decisions to look forward to.

The Student Services Department is here to assist you with all aspects of the college application process in order to help you with the transition from high school to university life.  No matter whether you're applying to schools here in Thailand, Taiwan, the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, or beyond, we can help you every step of the way.

Please come see a counselor in Student Services if you have any questions or concerns throughout this final year of high school.

 

Important Tasks You Will Complete This year

• Take the SAT, SAT II, ACT, TOEFL, and/or IELTs exams

• Complete a Brag sheet/Student-Self Assessment

• Explore majors and possible career options

• Search for colleges/universities that interest you and complete university applications

  • Write essays​

  • Get letters of recommendation

  • Fill out applications

  • Obtain all necessary documents School Profile, transcript, etc.)

• Search for scholarships (Unigo, Cappex, ​Chegg, Internationalscholarships.com)

• Build your portfolio (especially for art, music, and film students)

• Use Naviance, the Common Application, and/or Coalition Application

• Attend college/university fairs

• Meet with university representatives at TCIS and around Bangkok (we will have over 120 universities from around the world on campus each year!)

• Stay involved! Continue participating in extracurricular activities and community service to build on your portfolio and to become better, more well-rounded global citizens

• Continuing to stay on top of your grades throughout your senior year
